Program History and Description:

In 2004, Rev. Lila B. Farmer had a vision of a transitional home for women. A group of concerned citizens gathered with her to generate ideas and action. The Helping Hands Home is due to be opened in 2005 in the Charlottesville area.

HHH is a community-based, bed residential facility for women transitioning from local jails and prisons back into the community.

It provides temporary housing for up to two years.

This program is designed to help women help women overcome difficult situations.
