Program History and Description:In 2004, Rev. Lila B. Farmer had a vision of a transitional
home for women. A group of concerned citizens gathered with her to generate
ideas and action. The Helping Hands Home is due to be opened in 2005 in
the Charlottesville area.
HHH is a community-based, bed residential facility for women transitioning from local jails and prisons back into the community. It provides temporary housing for up to two years.
